A former headmaster of the academy before Solange.

Verification: Human verified

Windsor is a former Headmaster of the academy who held the role before Solange. Though he is no longer in charge, he still appears in the game — most notably as one of the five statues you must interact with during a statue-based escape room, and as a character encountered in the "Yes Chef" DLC content. This guide covers where Windsor shows up and exactly what to do when you encounter him.

Statue Puzzle: Smashing the Correct Statues

During the multi-door statue level, you will find a row of five statues representing different people: Timmy, Wyatt, Michelle, Bob, and Windsor. Your goal in this room is to smash specific statues by pressing the interact button (A on Xbox) on them, which opens the door behind them and reveals a key [src-cc415a0c9f].

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

  1. Collect the three keys in the room: keys numbered seven, four, and three [src-59f8d3957c].
  2. Open the "10" door by combining the seven and the three to make ten [src-cc415a0c9f].
  3. Enter the 10 door to reach the statue room.
  4. Press A on the first statue (Timmy).
  5. Skip the second statue (Wyatt) — do not press A.
  6. Press A on the third statue (Michelle).
  7. Skip the fourth statue (Bob) — do not press A.
  8. Press A on the fifth statue (Windsor).

Hitting the first, third, and fifth statues opens the door behind them, revealing your last key — key number one [src-cc415a0c9f] [src-59f8d3957c]. Pair key one with the key number four still in your inventory to unlock the door marked with the five [src-cc415a0c9f].

Rearranging the Statues

Once inside the five door, you must rearrange the order of the statues. The correct order is:

  1. First position: the person with the longest hair [src-cc415a0c9f].
  2. Second position: the person with glasses and short hair [src-cc415a0c9f].
  3. Third position: the person with glasses and long hair [src-cc415a0c9f].
  4. Fourth position: the bald guy [src-cc415a0c9f].
  5. Fifth position: the person with the hat [src-cc415a0c9f].

Note that one walkthrough describes the ordering in terms of height instead — hat at the top, bald guy next, the woman without glasses at the bottom, and the glasses-wearers in between [src-59f8d3957c]. The two descriptions conflict; follow whichever arrangement the game accepts in your version, using the physical traits (hair length, glasses, baldness, hat) as your guide.

Rewards

Completing the statue arrangement correctly lets you walk through the door into the Hall of Fame [src-cc415a0c9f]. Use the spray paint you picked up earlier to tag the Hall of Fame wall. Tagging it completes the puzzle — one walkthrough reports finishing with 25 minutes to spare [src-cc415a0c9f]. You will also unlock the Escape Artist achievement for completing the puzzle [src-cc415a0c9f]. Finishing without using hints earns an A+ grade [src-cc415a0c9f].

Tips

  • Only three of the five statues should be smashed — Windsor is the last one you hit, so don't touch Wyatt or Bob [src-cc415a0c9f].
  • After the level, you return to your dorm room. Leaving it triggers an automatic conversation with the headmaster — you can skip it [src-cc415a0c9f] [src-59f8d3957c].

Windsor in the "Yes Chef" DLC

In the Escape From The Past DLC, Headmaster Windsor appears early in the kitchen scenario, arriving ahead of schedule for a faculty lunch [src-7fcadcc2ae]. Chef Kalian notes that Windsor is early and that his burger isn't scheduled for another 40 minutes [src-7fcadcc2ae]. Your task becomes preparing lunch for the headmaster and other faculty members [src-7fcadcc2ae]. This section is a narrative appearance rather than a puzzle solution tied to Windsor specifically.
