The Greenhouse is a campus location in Escape Academy, found just next door to the Cipher Center, with a gate leading to the campus gardens just past it. It is managed by Professor Bonilla, who uses the space for tea breeding experiments. Inside you'll find a Fertilizers puzzle mounted on the wall, three flower beds for growing Lockscombs, Popkeys, and Cluebells, and a wreath puzzle.

How to Complete

The Greenhouse is tied to the "Pushing up Daisies" objective. The full loop is: solve the Fertilizers wall puzzle, use the reward to grow flowers in the beds, then solve the wreath puzzle and report back to Professor Bonilla.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

  1. Travel to the Greenhouse. Make your way to the Greenhouse, which is just next door from the Cipher Center, and talk to Professor Bonilla inside [src-0dc02cf791].

  2. Solve the Fertilizers puzzle. Look at the Fertilizers puzzle on the wall and note the order of the flowers on each row. Use the trellis of flowers to see where each combination of flowers leads, then put the right shape into the Fertilizers wall. One documented solution is square, triangle, heart, triangle [src-0dc02cf791].

  3. Collect the Escapist's Hedge. Solving the Fertilizers puzzle opens a cupboard — take the Escapist's Hedge out of it [src-0dc02cf791].

  4. Plant the flower beds. Use the Escapist's Hedge on the three flower beds at the far side of the greenhouse. Once they've all sprouted, pick up the Lockscombs, Popkeys, and Cluebells [src-0dc02cf791].

  5. Solve the wreath. Move over to the wreath, read the poem, and match the colour combinations of the flowers in the right order [src-0dc02cf791]. The puzzle presents a sequence of flower colours to reproduce.

  6. Finish up. Pick up the wreath, then talk to Professor Bonilla to close out the objective [src-0dc02cf791].

Tips

  • Read the trellis first. The Fertilizers wall is solved by cross-referencing the flower order in each row against the trellis of flowers, which shows where each combination leads [src-0dc02cf791]. Don't guess shapes before checking the trellis.
  • Don't leave without the Hedge. The cupboard only opens after the Fertilizers puzzle is correct, and the Escapist's Hedge inside is required for the flower beds — you cannot progress to the wreath without it [src-0dc02cf791].
  • Harvest everything. All three beds must sprout before you can pick up the Lockscombs, Popkeys, and Cluebells [src-0dc02cf791]; if a pickup isn't appearing, double-check you've used the Hedge on every bed.
  • The wreath is a colour-matching puzzle. The poem on the wreath encodes the order; match the flower colour combinations in that sequence [src-0dc02cf791].

What's Next

After completing the Greenhouse and speaking with Professor Bonilla, the story continues at the campus gardens. There's a gate to access them just past the greenhouse — head through the gardens until you find a stage and talk to Professor Chortkoff to advance the story [src-0dc02cf791].

Notes

A separate puzzle called "The Teakettle" is also set in the greenhouse in another walkthrough, involving making a perfect tea, a shed code (A B K Z), strange tiles, a chainsaw, and a Serenity code (G T T T A G) [src-cc415a0c9f] [src-59f8d3957c]. Those steps belong to that tea-brewing challenge rather than the "Pushing up Daisies" Fertilizers-and-wreath sequence described above, so treat them as a distinct activity in the same location.
