Verification: Human verified
Quanty is the Academy's "super A.I." — an automated intelligence running the new escape academy testing phase, and the closest thing the campus has to an antagonist. You'll meet him in several spots around campus, and one optional achievement, Quanty Superposition, asks you to track down all 11 versions of him scattered across the school. This guide covers where Quanty shows up, how to handle his interactive challenges, and how to complete the "Groovin', Baby!" achievement through Quanty's Disco Fever.
Who Quanty Is
Quanty is the Academy's super A.I. and functions as the game's AI antagonist, overseeing the testing phase. He isn't exactly a people person — the Headmaster notes that his calculating methods "may push your buttons," though they "build character," and Quanty's own idea of encouragement is telling you that you "excel in one area... failure" [src-aa1129c8c1]. Expect taunts, not help.
Where to Find Quanty
Quanty appears in various campus areas. One guaranteed encounter is in the library during Chapter 3's Banned Together in Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School — when you go through the library doors, talk to Quanty just to the left [src-0dc02cf791].
There are 11 total versions of Quanty across campus, and several are missable:
- Infirmary
- Detention
- Garden
- Beach
If you're hunting the Quanty Superposition achievement, make a point of checking those four locations before they become unavailable, and sweep the rest of campus as you progress.
Banned Together: The [Library Puzzle
During Banned Together, Quanty is the NPC who collects the three banned books you recover from the library. The full sequence:
- Read the book clue. As you enter the library, look at the book on the left. A note tells you to read only the even pages [src-0dc02cf791]. It reads: "Pay attention! I Professor Grumble, now look towards etiquette. Pupil Pleasant considers fashion. Pupil Maxwell focuses on dance! Worst of all: Pupil Saunders copies Professor Grumble" [src-0dc02cf791].
- Position the four statues. Turn Grumble and Saunders to face etiquette, Pleasant to face fashion, and Maxwell to face dance. A book rises from the floor — your first banned book, How to Open Doors With a Crowbar [src-0dc02cf791].
- Decode the trolley. Find the trolley with four books and use the poster opposite to map each book to its 'Cluey Decimal System' category: religion, biography, philosophy, languages — code 2914. This yields the second banned book, A Primer on Brute-Forcing Puzzles [src-0dc02cf791].
- Open the mezzanine door. Upstairs, step on the face drawings on the floor and note which ones creak, then click those four on the central door [src-0dc02cf791]. Inside is the final banned book, Escape Rooms Are Overrated: A Manifesto [src-0dc02cf791].
- Return to Quanty. Go back downstairs and give him all three books [src-0dc02cf791].
Quanty's Disco Fever
Quanty hosts Quanty's Disco Fever inside the Lab Rat escape room, and it requires cooperative play with a partner. Solving it unlocks the Groovin', Baby! achievement [src-f30c4b0486]. The known solutions for the four stations are [src-f825a4961b]:
| Station | Solution |
|---|---|
| Vending machine | C4 |
| PC | Square, Circle, Square, Triangle, Circle |
| Lasers | Safer |
| Virus | 1101 |
If you also need Exchange Students (give at least 5 items to your partner), simply hand over any items you're carrying during the run [src-f825a4961b].
Tips
- Bring a co-op partner specifically for Lab Rat — Disco Fever cannot be done solo.
- Don't leave the Infirmary, Detention, Garden, or Beach until you've confirmed whether a Quanty version is present; these are the missable spawns.
- While in the library, note that the exit door on the far side leads outside toward the lecture hall for the next chapter, Quiz Pro Quo [src-0dc02cf791].
- Quanty's campus presence is cosmetic for the achievement — the Disco Fever puzzle is the only one tied to a separate unlock.
Rewards
- Groovin', Baby! — solve Quanty's Disco Fever with a partner [src-f30c4b0486].
- Quanty Superposition — find all 11 versions of Quanty across campus.
